So, what's a doula anyway?

A doula provides continuous labor support to help you have the most positive birth experience possible. A doula provides physical, emotional, and informational support before, during and after birth. A doula is your advocate and empowers you to make the best decisions for your particular experience. Continuous support can help your labor be shorter, and even less painful too!

As a doula, I pledge to be a peaceful and calming presence.

Physical

I'll work with you to help make labor as comfortable as possible. I can coach you on comfort techniques or new positions to try to reduce pain and help you relax.

emotional

The process of becoming a mother is special. I'm here to help you embrace this important time in your life – before, during, and after labor. I will be a calming presence and help you feel comfortable in facing the many types of emotions that are present during this beautiful process.

informational

Before, during and after labor and delivery, I am a source of information. I can assist in developing your birth preferences and help you make informed decisions that are best for your family.
